900 miles of highway
I left Penn State yesterday morning at around 9:30 am and thirteen hours later 9:30 pm central time I was in St. Louis. The ride was uneventful except for the gas stations, taco bell drive through, and thunderstorms that forced me to pull over several times. Once getting on I-70 west you lose any feature in the landscape that might even resemble a mountain let alone a hill. The landscape may have been boring but the sunset was worth it, and it was all made possible to 2 redbulls and a liter of mountain dew (as Farva would say).

Hey Dave! Glad to see you are doing well... I hope to be in the Northwest in December to visit my brother so I may end up getting in touch with you when I am out there. The book you got your hands on is, I agree, really good. Something I would also love to conquer. If you ever need advice on a good running book, I have a mini-library... and my bedroom wall at home is covered in quotes from running books that I wrote in permanent marker so they'd always stay in my mind forever. Last but not least, I am glad your mother is doing well. Take care of you and I hope you enjoy the rest of your journey. - Jenna
